Hilde Thomsen is an editorial illustrator, newspaper cartoonist and artist. She works in traditional mediums with ink and watercolour on paper. Her drawings are continuously published in Norwegian daily press, such as Stavanger Aftenblad, Morgenbladet and Dagens Næringsliv.

Hilde has been a regular contributor for the past nine years to Psykologtidsskriftet and has illustrated the OP ED section on topics such as shame, PTSD, Social media, anxiety, suicide, ADHD and so on. Hilde is a self proclaimed expert in painting the invisible. The original drawings from this body of work will be showcased in her atelier in Fister, Ryfylke.

Hilde lives and works from the old barn on the farm where she grew up. She is inspired by her surroundings of agriculture and nature and has several large paintings on display in addition to illustrations done for psykologtidsskriftet.

Welcome to Fisterhammaren 2, 4139 Fister. Sundays 10th November, 17^th November and 24th November  14.00 - 16.00. There will be coffee and children are welcome to come and draw. Fister is about one hour drive from Stavanger. On the route in Fister and Hjelmeland one can stop for cheese, apples, cider and eggs and there is even a restaurant with local food.
