Catherine Eubanks is a Professor at the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University. Her research focuses on therapeutic alliance ruptures and training therapists to navigate them. In addition to authoring a number of journal articles and book chapters, she is coauthor of Therapist Performance Under Pressure: Negotiating Emotion, Difference and Rupture and co-editor of Rupture and Repair in Psychotherapy: A Critical Process for Change. Dr. Eubanks is a past president of the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration, a Fellow of the Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy/APA Division 29, past executive officer of the North American chapter of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR), and a previous recipient of early career awards from both APA Division 29 and SPR. She previously served as an associate editor of the Journal of Clinical and Consulting Psychology and currently serves as co-editor of the journal Psychotherapy Research.
